How to create a crypto wallet

First, purchase or install the wallet you will use to manage your crypto assets. The next step is to generate your private keys as a seed phrase (a seed phrase is a cryptographic derivative of your private key in the form of 12 or 24 words). Generally, the wallet you are using will do this as part of the setup process and will guide you through the procedure—irrespective of whether it is a hardware wallet, a mobile wallet app, or a browser extension.

Important to note: You must store your seed phrase securely, as using the seed phrase (or private key) is the only way to recover your funds if you lose access to your wallet and if anyone gets hold of your seed phrase or private key, they can access your funds.

If you have lost access to your wallet, you can restore access with a new wallet by importing your previously generated seed phrase.
